Please note that this position is based in our Amsterdam office. We value the face-to-face interactions and collaborations that come from having our team in one place. Therefore, remote work is not available for this role.

Additionally, at this time, we are not offering relocation assistance or packages. We are specifically looking for candidates who are currently residing in the Amsterdam region or are able to commute on a daily basis without requiring relocation support.

Proficiency in Dutch is preferred, as our primary customer base is Dutch-speaking. A good understanding of Dutch enables better engagement with customers, particularly for gathering input and feedback. However, please note that the Product & Development team operates in English

As a Senior React Front-End Developer at TimeChimp, you will:

Play a crucial role in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces, directly impacting how our customers interact with our products.
Collaborate with a talented team of back- and front end developers, product manager, and an UX/UI designer in a small, agile environment—meaning your ideas can really shape the direction of our products.
Have the freedom to dive into the broader organization, from product strategy to company growth plans, fostering a deeper understanding of why and how we do what we do.

Your responsibilities

Develop and maintain advanced front-end applications using React, Next.js & Tailwind.
Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
Collaborate with back-end developers and designers to improve usability and functionality.
Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices.
Conduct code reviews, and provide technical leadership to help level up the team.
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.

This is you

You have at least 5 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React.
You have an excellent understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
You’ve worked with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
You’re skilled in building responsive and mobile-first web applications.
You have a keen eye for design and UX details.
You’re comfortable working in an Agile environment.
